U.S. video game sales drop to 17%

SAN FRANCISCO April 21 ,NPD Group's recently released a report shows that the U.S. video game sales were down 17% compared to the same large , this is a recession since the first decline in the last few years , and declines much more than expected.
Statistics show that March in this year, the U.S. video game hardware, software and accessories sales totaled 1.43 billion U.S. dollars , with 1.72 billion U.S. dollars last year decreased by 17% . Among them, hardware sales fell 18% , software sales fell 17%.
NPD analyst said that although this is the first sales decline in the industry , but its problems are not reflected in the overall decline in sales , Sony PS3, PS2, PSP, Microsoft Xbox 360 , Nintendo 's Wii and DS products , sales in March than in February fell a lot , which fell the most powerful is the PS3 and Wii, respectively, down by 21 % and 20.3% .
